The Project
For this project, we converted a shade covered lawn where grass could barely grow into a complete short game practice area that resembled one on at a high end country club.
The undulating, kidney-shaped green is nestled in between trees and outfitted with a practice bunker and a healthy cut of fringe turf for practicing all types of chips.
Artificial Grass Rough
Given the challenges with growing natural grass in this shaded area, our team installed an artificial grass that looked like natural grass lawn but doubled as a golf course's rough.
Adding this "rough" grass allowed the homeowners even more options for practicing pitches, chips and even flop shots from all around the green.
Complete Coverage
To give the entire space that country club look and feel, our team outfitted other areas of the yard with this artificial grass that provided the look and feel of a lush, natural grass lawn.
Precision cuts were used to align the grass around objects like this tree trunk to provide the elegant appearance our homeowner desired.

In the garden area of the lawn, we installed this same natural grass to complement the elaborate system of hedges, sculptures and ivy beds.
